Products lost-PLEASE Help!

My hosting company moved me to a new server on Sunday and used a backup of my site from Thursday (so I lost the work I did on Fri/Sat).

However, I had a backup. So I backed up my site to Sunday morning, but the changes made to products are gone.

Example--changes I made to my homepage, shipping policies and the footer have updated to sunday morning. BUT the changes I made to product write-ups, category names, as well as products that were added have not updated.

How do I get them back?
Am I missing something? Why do I only have certain info on my server?

The items you describe as not updating are stored in the database.....do you have a backup of the database?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Yes, I had a backup of my database. I just called my hosting company and they walked me through updating it. Now my site is fine! (other than being down temporarily to redirect to a new IP address ).
