Is Zen Cart free?

I am planning to set up Zen Cart for an online shop, it looks like it is free or I don’t see anywhere to buy it, and want to know how much it will be before I install it on my server, or how do they make money from it.

Also I am interested to know how easy it would be for my client to add products to as she may not have much web design experience.
