Hello, my friends host does not have PhpMyAdmin and we are setting his older version of zen up on new hosting (which thankfully does have phpmyadmin).
I have tried to backup his database by Dr Bytes admin tool, but this does not run on the his old server due to restrictions I think.
The current hosts do not seem very helpful in getting our information out or making it so the script will run on the server so I am stuck.
Can anyone please recommend another program or way to export the existing database SQL to text file, so we can then re-import to the new database via phpmyadmin. I have tried to use a program called MYSQL Administrator, and although I could connect to his old database, the export kept crashing when trying to run.
Secondly, my friends current site is on version 1.3.1, and the new install I have done is on 1.3.7. Will I have to re- import his old database tables first, then run the upgrade installer? or which way around do I do things once I have the exported SQL file from the old site.
Many thanks,
chief.
