not returning to my site after payment

I am testing a credit card on the paypal ipn module and after I pay it doesn't return back to my site. It only gives a link to return to merchant.

I have auto return "on" pointing to the checkout process of my site.

Anyone have an answer to my problem. I searched but couldn't find an answer.

I had the same problem a few minutes ago but suspect it is explained in this note on the PayPal site;

"Note: If you have turned on Auto Return and have chosen to turn on PayPal Account Optional for new users, a new user will not be automatically directed back to your website, but will be given the option to return."

It was my very first test run, so I *assume* that because that would qualify me as a "new user" in PayPal that's why I wasn't redirected. Am going back for a second test tomorrow after i get some sleep and will try it with the same info and see if it's still not redirecting then.
