Hi there,

I've having fun & games with Zen-cart but can't seem to sort out this problem

For certain products ie software over £500 we give free delivery.

If someone buys this product no delivery is charged and everything is fine.

For products under £500 we charge £6.50 delivery. If someone buys one of these products, delivery is charged and everything is fine.

The problem comes when I have a customer wishing to order both products. Then for some reason it still charges the £6.50 delivery on the lower cost item. How do I set it so it removes the delivery charge is the order total is over a certain amount?

The problem is in your product setup. Your products that have free shipping aren't being superseded by the ones that have shipping. However the presence of those products has no bearing on the ones for which you charge shipping. Free is still free, but non-free is still non-free.

Instead of setting up free shipping on a per product basis, you should use the table rate shipping module. Everything 500 and above, set the price to zero. See the module documentation to learn how to properly configure the rate table.
