I assume that you are referring to the product listing page where there are about 10 items listed in rows with a pic and it is this pic you are referencing-

If thi is correct look at the url reference in the lower left corner of your browser. this is what is coded in this page for the href for the image and of course the coding is relative to allow different url's for different items.

You may try this mod:
Image Handler Mod

It adds a fancy image hover that shows a larger popup when a user mouses over the image–on any product image.
