Stuck on how to add image & text to homepage.

I know this is probably really simple but I've searched the files and am still stuck on how to edit the homepage.

At the moment I've removed the Welcome Guest text and want to add a paragraph of text and an image alongside, in this section. What file do I need to access to do this?

I've tried the define pages in admin, but nothing appears when I add anything to this.

Any help greatly appreciated.

This is where you should be doing this....check for messages when you enter the edit main_page.php as the file you want to edit. Like can not write to this file among others - insure that you have this setup for your template on an override dir and permissions set to 777 while you are editing

The define pages on admin isn't working for some reason so i've managed to just edit the file with html and get the layout I was needing.
