Having quantities for different sizes

i don't know if this is possible: we sell t-shirts and have different sizes. say, we have 100 shirts--25 small, 25 med, 25 large and 25 xl. as we have it now, the inventory says we have 100 shirts. is there a way to have the inventory know how many shirts in each size? i know i can just make every size a product and work the inventory off of that--but that some additional work. any help is appreciated. 2b.

Oh, thank you. I had only found questions like this going back to early 2006 so far. I have different part numbers (model Numbers) for each color of each item. I didn't want to have it show up in a catagory as 6 different items to the customer, but rather 1 item model, with the color selection, while still tracking the inventory for each part number. I hope this module can do that...I'm trying to figure out the best way to sort/catagorize my products without it looking a mess.
