Lost a week of data, how to recreate

I had an error the other which crashed the site. Through much work with the host techs, I finally got it back. However, the database if from April 16. They do not have a more recent backup. (Yes, I have learned to do my own from now on.)

So I am missing 44 orders (I have them printed out) and some new items which came in last week. I was thinking that if I made up one (or a few orders) with the orders I have printed, it would be quicker than adjusted the inventory through the back-end. But if I open the store for me, other will be able to shop as well. I am getting hundreds of hits from people looking for the site to come back.

Is there anyway, I can open the store for just me until I get the inventory better controlled?

in admin-> configuration -> maintenance put your IP in and it will ignore you

and let you in as normal

Ah, I can access the site but can't "purcahse" anything.
