How long will the SHOPPING CART keep Products Saved in there for?

Hi,

Just wanting to find out...How long will the Shopping Cart keep the items in there for??
Also, is there a way to change the length of days it keeps them for?

I am running 1.3.7.

There isn't a limit on what is kept in a customer's shopping cart ...

It empties if they delete things ...

NOTE: it will empty if the products are deleted or out of stock etc. when the customer logs in next time ...

That's fine..
But what if the Customer is Not Logged in..or does not have an account?
It will let the customer add a product to cart...

But if they get off the site and come back later...There would be no shopping Cart there?

Do you get what I mean?

Am I able to make that last long...so even if they don't log in they can still see what's in their cart at a later time?

Sounds like you could use the fact that their cart will be saved in their account as an incentive to get them to register......

If the customer is not logged in their cart stays active for 24 minutes after they leave the site. A customer has to log in to save a cart.
