ZenCart price not transferring to PayPal

Hello

My site's setup to use the PayPal IPN.

When I test a purchase the info and price of the item is not transferring to PayPal.
All it says is "Small World Music Distribution Purchase Item #1", and the price is "0". I seem to be expected to fill in the price. I can't return to the ZenCart site to remind myself of what the price is, nor should I have to.
Shouldn't PayPal *know* what the item is, and what its cost is?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Clean install or an upgrade?

If an upgrade, from what version and how?

Has this ever worked for you?

The version is 1.3.6.

I just finished moving servers (which was an ordeal for me) and re-installed 1.3.6.

I have uninstalled, and then re-installed the Paypal IPN module in ZenCart.

It was indeed working before, though it was still in test mode on the other server...

Try not running in test mode as that does not always work correctly ...

I may have been misleading in my description of the site.

I'm not running it in 'test mode', but I have not made it public.
So that's what I meant by saying it was running as a test - it's not a live site (yet).

Yes, Zen Cart normally sends the actual order amount to PayPal for processing.
It's unusual for it to ever get a $0 on the PayPal end.

Can you explain the details of the items in your cart when this happens ?
- products
- prices of the products
- what attributes are selected, if any
- are any of these downloadable items?
- what is the selected shipping choice?
- what addons/contributions do you have installed?
- what customizations have you made to the cart ?
- are you running in "down for maintenance" mode? If so, this can block confirmations from PayPal upon order completion (although this shouldn't affect the information going TO PayPal for payment)

HI folks.

I've traced what appears to be the main cause of the problem, though I'm not sure yet how to resolve it.
I had set the transaction currency to be CAD (Canadian).
If I switch it to USD the price is transferred succesfully to PayPal.

So, I guess the question is, how do I get the price to transfer if I wish to operate in Canadian dollars (we anticipate most of our customers being Canadian).

Hey Nik:

Is your PayPal account set in USD or CAD? Could be Paypal is having a problem if the pricing from Zen Cart is CAD and your account is in USD, or vice versa.

Just a thought as I've wondered about this myself.
