Overide doesn't work

Hi,

I have copied includes/templates/template_default and changed it to includes/templates/spac

I altered template_info.php accordingly and uploaded it.

I then changed the template selection to be that of the new one.

Reset the Layout Boxes Controller.

I have not made any changes to the templates such as style, layout etc.

However when I view the page it looks nothing like the "Classic Contemporary Green" whis is the one I supposedly just copied.

The page is spread across the screen the colours and buttons are different.

Please tell what I am missing here.

The template_default looks nothing like the Classic template, with many
different colors for ease in finding the different sections in the stylesheet.

And you should only copy files that you alter to your custom template,
for ease in upgrading.

You shouldnt copy the ENTIRE template_default folder,
ONLY the files that you actally change,

Ok I misread "Copy Folders" as "Copy Files" from the "Copy a Template" section on http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p...lates_-_Create

However, this structure below is what I now have and yet is still exactly the same, as in screwed up, as what it was when I had the "other" files in there.

The design that you see on stock is CLASSIC

the template default is UGLY this is by design so that its easy to find what your looking for in the CSS by color

Never Mind. I worked it out.

The default template is not actually template_default. It is in fact "Classic Contemporary Green" aka "Classic"

So when I did what it says and copied template_default it didn't have the relevant files from "Classic".

It would be good if that was pointed out somewhere in the notes..........
