Zen Cart with PayPal Standard?

Hello.

I have a Danish PayPal WebSite Standard account and would like to start using the Zen Cart solution. Do I need to have a PayPal Pro account in order to do so or is there any other way to make this work? Because as far as I know Pro accounts are only available to U.S. customers.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

You don't need a Paypal Pro account to use the paypal payment module for ZenCart.

When a customer checks out, they are given the choice of payment method. If they choose paypal, they are taken to paypal's secure site, where they can then enter their payment info, and after that, they're taken back to your ZenCart.

So the Zen Cart will run smoothly even if PayPal is the only payment option available? At the moment I don't mind having customers leave my site to pay on PayPal then return once the payment is completed.

I guess my question is: can I integrate ZC and PP in a way that is easy for customers to pick how they want to pay (even though all payment options will be handled by PayPal)?

If you mean a payment from a Paypal account or a cc via Paypal, that choice is done at Paypal. If you are going to include other options for payment e.g. cheque, cc via a gateway or the built in cc module (which requires you to manually enter card details at your end) etc, then the customer makes the choice during checkout.
