    Default Re: Fedex module problems

    I'm really beginning to think my host is just retarded. I sent another email regarding the issue, also asking whether cURL is activated and functional, and this is what I got back:

    Dear Raymond Fong,

    Did you receive the email from Megan? The firewall is blocking your attempts to connect to a remote host from the server.

    In order to Open outbound connection to remote site you need:
    1. To provide me your registration number and domain name
    2. To specify the local script filename and location that is running on our server
    3. To provide me the remote hostname or IP address and port number which needs to be opened
    4. To tell me what is the exact and detailed purpose for this connection

    Thank you,

    Now does anything he is saying make sense in regards to my problem?

    [FONT=Arial]Dear CUstomer,[/FONT]

    [FONT=Arial]It will not work the cURL if the Unix admin do not grant the outbound access that you want to make. So you have to fill the form and we will forward your request for the outbound connection to the admin. If the outbound connection is granted then the cURL will be working. [/FONT]
    [FONT=Arial]If you need further assistance, let me know[/FONT]

    this dosnt require a remote port

    you need to ASK your host IF they have cURL installed,
    and if its local or proxy.

    If its LOCAL what it the path,
    if its proxy, what is the proxy IP

    this isnt rocket science, they need to stop asking you stupid questions and answer the ones you asked them,

    IF they cant give you a straight answer then you need to ask their supervisor

    I mean its a simple YES or NO Question,

    do me a favor,

    create a new file named phpinfo.php

    put

    Code:
    <?php
    phpinfo();
    ?>
    in it, save and upload to the server somewhere,
    PM me the url.

    this will just show me the same information that you see in the ZC admin-> tools -> server settings
