    Default ezpages

    Hi,

I looked at the tutorial for ezpages and I need to ask some questions because I am confused.

I want to create a page say not associated with the system eg to have html, css to be loaded into the main area or content page.

Now i am reading this and it says
'HTML editors will often add the opening and closing tags for sections like <html>, <head> and <body> to the file you are working on. You may want to 'remove them,' ?

q1) does this mean all tags or some , what are you supposed to include exactly?

    index.php?main_page=index&cPath=21

The above Link would take you to the Category for categories_id 21

q2) why do I need to involve the system anyway, and have a page eg aboutUs.html with a code. How do i code for an id as given above. I have a page and how do i fit it into zencart?

q3) why do i need to use ezpages if I can do html, css no problem. Just add a link in a sidebox if needed is what you do normally. What advantage do i have with ezpages?

Ok I get it. I saw in admina section for ezpages where you can type in your own page or add an extrnale link to another page.

What about having css/js/html on the 1 page and be displayed in the main area, can it be done?

As with my response to another question of yours... why not just try it to see if it does what you want?

The answer to your 2nd post here is yes.

Now i am reading this and it says
'HTML editors will often add the opening and closing tags for sections like <html>, <head> and <body> to the file you are working on. You may want to 'remove them,' ?

q1) does this mean all tags or some , what are you supposed to include exactly?
It means exactly what it says - remove <html>, <head> and <body> although I agree it would be better phrased by saying "If you use an HTML editor that adds <html>, <head> and <body> tags, then simple copy and paste everything BETWEEN <body> and </body>"

And you seem to have got the rest of it.
