Dual Pricing Module

Hi,

Im new to Zencart and have been trying to set it up since the last two weeks. Changing the layout/ design to meet my needs/requirements etc.

I have a beads and jewelry store and we do retail as well as wholesale.

I was very excited when i found the Dual Pricing - Wholesale Pricing Module as it perfectly fits my needs.

I extracted all the files and followed the instructions with this module. It works fine and shows the wholesale price once the customer logs in. As soon as i add the item, the following error comes up:
atal error:
Call to undefined function: actionaddproduct() in /my_directory/store/includes/main_cart_actions.php on line 42

The problem is with the shoppingcart.php file that came with the module because if i put the original shoppingcart.php back it works fine but does not show the wholesale price in the cart.

example:
retail price= $22
wholesale price= $18

after adding the item to shopping cart, it adds the itemn with the retail price and not the wholesale price.

If im on the shopping cart page on the website and replace the shoppingcart.php that came with the module and refresh the page, the wholesale price comes back.

Can someone help me out here?

Re: Dual Pricing Module

ali.peracha, what version of Zen Cart are you using? Also, what version of the Dual Pricing module did you install?

Hi,

I have zencart v1.3.7 with Dual Price Module from the downloads section. I went thru the forums and found out that there was Dp1.3beta so i downloaded that and got that working. The only problem now is that the new version of DP says i can have multiple wholesale pricing levels for each item.
e.g
Item Name: SAMPLE01
Price: $22
Wholesale: $18.00,$15.00$12.50

That way i can go to a customer an put up wholesale level.

If i put wholesale level to 1 then the customer gets $18.00
if i put wholesale level to 2 then the customer gets $15.00
if i put wholesale level to 3 then the customer gets $12.50

well that was the whole idea about the new DP but whenever i put multiple prices in the wholesale, the only price that goes into the database is the first price(in this case, $18.00).

Any idea how i can get this thing working out?

Thanks.
Ali

Re: Dual Pricing Module

Ooo, fancy! I was fed up with original Dual Pricing that I uninstalled it and installed the Group Pricing... which isn't working for me either. Eesh! What thread did you find the link for the Dp1.3beta? I can't seem to find it.

Re: Dual Pricing Module

For better wholesale customers, to compensate the multilevel wholesale price discounts, i made a discount level in the group pricing and then add them to this group so they can get another dscount when they are checking out.

Ill be using this scheme until i can find someone who can help me with the pricing level problem with DP1.3.

Thanks,
Ali

Re: Dual Pricing Module

ali.peracha, I just installed this mod and it seems to be working fine for me. The only thing I can think of is to make sure you're not putting the "$" sign in the text field and also, don't forget the comma between the 15.00 and the 12.50.

Do This...
18.00,15.00,12.50

Not This...
$18.00,$15.00$12.50

As I continue to play with it I'll see if I can think of anything else. Good luck!

Re: Dual Pricing Module

the only two alterations I had to make were editing some minor code in the collect_info.php file to default the wholesale value to "0" and to correct the "rounding" of the wholesale price when you go to edit it. Both corrections are in that thread. Let me know if you have any questions. I'll try and help if I can.

Re: Dual Pricing Module

I have a fresh install of 1.3.9h on the website http://eshop.pasakaleris.com

I have installed Dual Pricing, v.1.7 today June 14th.

I easily figured out how it is working.

Before installing it, I installed EasyPopulate and both working fine together.

I also made an addition for my customer, and copied customers.php to wholesalers.php [before doing all the above], and added several new fields in customers table [about 150 fields], because my customer is a Whole-Whole saler and sells to the wolesalers [network all over Greece], so we needed a seperate page, to administer the wholesalers. Everything works fine.

After I installed Dual Prices module, I edited a product and added for eg. wholesale price 510.00-495.00-480.00, then I edited a customer to level 1, then 2 then level 3 and prices are displaying right with every change I made.

Then, while displaying customers in Admin, I realized that RADIO BUTTON Selection for Wholesale, above Gender selection , WAS MISSING, because I saw that column Retail/Wholesale was giving me blank, instead of Yes or No.

I search the files again and didn't find anything for configuration key insertion. Because configuration key DISPLAY_WHOLESALE was missing, it was never was inserted.

I believe that somebody forgot this, when packing the module, so I made the following :

ATTENTION : BEFORE YOU RUN THE FOLLOWING, CHANGE THE "YOUR_DATABASE" with your real database name.

When you run it, go to Configuration->My Strore, and you will see the selection [maybe]

above Store Address and Phone [depends if you have made other additions in configuration table]

INSERT INTO `YOUR_DATABASE`.`configuration` (
`configuration_id` ,
`configuration_title` ,
`configuration_key` ,
`configuration_value` ,
`configuration_description` ,
`configuration_group_id` ,
`sort_order` ,
`last_modified` ,
`date_added` ,
`use_function` ,
`set_function`
)
VALUES (
'899', 'Display Wholesale Prices', 'DISPLAY_WHOLESALE', 'false', 'Set to True, and you will be able to select Yes or No when you edit a customer.<br /><br />You will see this selection above the customers Gender.', '1', '17', NULL , '2011-06-14 20:44:18', NULL , 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(''true'', ''false''),'
);

After this, I can see the Radio buttons, above Gender selection when edditing a customer, BUT, I still can't figure out what the point of this selection ???

When I set level 0 [zero] for a customer, he can't see wholesale prices, then when I set level 1 to 3 I can see the prices change.

When I set WholeSale Radio [above gender selection] to Yes or No, I really do not see any difference.

Could somebody please explain in details, make a diagramm or sth what is the use of this Radio selection ?

Thanks in advance.
