Judging from that, this seems to be limited to certain countries and/or regions therein (appearances can be deceiving). It looks like most countries without the state choice works okay (excluding Congo, my oddball test choice).

I cannot take the time out of work to test every single country to let you know how many fail. Feel free to build a test cart for any product not marked as "Free Shipping" and see for yourself. There's no telling if or when I'd be able to test every country listed.

NOTE: THIS IS A LIVE STORE, DO NOT COMPLETE THE CHECKOUT PROCESS

A Tare of 5:1 so it adds 5% plus 1 which is:
    10 + .5 + 1 = 11.50

    Zen Cart says:
    United Parcel Service (1 x 11.50lbs) (Worldwide Saver) $254.23
    United Parcel Service (1 x 11.50lbs) (Worldwide Expedited) $244.84
    UPS at ups.com says:
    Code:
    UPS Worldwide Saver 254.23 USD*
    UPS Worldwide Expedited 244.84 USD*
What else do you want to see?

We can only display what the UPS server sends back to us ...

I never said ZC was sending back incorrect data. I was saying that it leaves a customer stuck on step one of checkout without the ability to continue on certain countries and regions.

The options we leave enabled for UPS are 1DA, 2DA, 3DS, GND, STD and XPR. The last one is our "catch-all" for non-US shipments where rates cannot be obtained with the preceeding options.

Shipping Config: Max Package Weight: 30, Small Tare 5:1, Large Tare 10:1

Test Shipment: 48 items, 12 pounds

    Destinations Tested:
    US, FL 33909: 1DA, 2DA, 3DS, GND
US, FL 00000 (bogus postal code): No options (expected behavior in US)
    UK: XPR
    MX: XPR
    CA, ON M5R2G1: STD, XPR
CA, ON XXXXXX (bogus postal code): XPR
    AU, QLD, 4000: XPR
AU, WAU, 6071: No options (the problem I have been trying to point out)
    CN: XPR

That customer is left with a cart they can do nothing with even though UPS XPR should have been provided for the "AU, WAU, 6071" destination. If it happens in one country or region, we must assume it happens in others, to do otherwise would be ignorant of us.

I don't know how I could be any more clear.

And I am saying that the only methods available with UPS to:
    AU, WAU, 6071

    are set at:
    Worldwide Saver
    Worldwide Expedited

    UPS to:
    AU, QLD, 4000

    are set as:
    Worldwide Express Plus
    Worldwide Express
    Worldwide Saver
    Worldwide Expedited

We cannot control the methods that UPS allows on shipping ... if you want UPS to allow more shipping methods to different destinations you will need to take it up with them ...

Why didnt you just say this in the first place? This is why I was telling you what options we had enabled for UPS. Had you said I did not have a supported option for that region, the issue would have been resolved days ago

Since the possibity is there, I would suggest updating the checkout process on future versions.

A customer should never just be "stuck" without being informed of what's wrong with no way to continue. Linking them to the contact page and indicating that the store does not currently ship to their location would be better than putting them in a loop. Better yet, include a "no shipping options" language file that the store owner can edit themselves

One small check... notice to the user... chance of saving a sale.

Days ago I showed you exactly what the UPS.com web site showed for the address ... and that it matched what Zen Cart could show ... I am sorry you did not get the fact that they matched base on addresses and what shipping method was available to a specific address ...

You can customize the code any way you want for anything in Zen Cart ...

You can change the message displayed, write additional shipping methods, etc. etc. etc. ...

In the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... you can do a search for any text you see on the display and customize it as needed ...

If the text you want to display isn't there to change, you can customize the modules to behave in a different fashion based on quote results ...
