Help with setting up Shipping.

While you call the break down "scales" are these more or less shipping based on categories_id or the parent_id of the Top Level Category?

What I am looking for is a "trigger" that exists either on the Product or the Category that it belongs to etc. to know how to "group" the products to determin the shipping based on what is in the cart and the quantity etc.

I think the way it is set in the other cart program is by category ID.

I know when I set up the other and when I was in the Categories section I was able to list the shipping prices for that specific category after I defined the shipping fee method in the Shipping Module "Per Category".

And when multiple Products are in the same order does the rule 1st item 2nd item still follow per given Top Level Category?

When there are Multiple Items it would take the highest scale shipping fee (providing one of those items where included) to be the first Shipping fee. Then it would base all items in the cart per the second item charge from each category.

Say I bought the following 4 cars

1qty 1:18 $9.95 First Item
1qty 1:24 $4.95 Second Item shipping fee for this scale category
1qty 1:64 $2.95 Second Item Shipping fee for this scale category
1qty 1:64 $2.95 Second Item Shipping fee for this scale category

Anyone, Anything? I just need to hear something on some of my posts here in the Zen Cart Forums as this client is getting antsy and I don't really want/need to loose this client as he is a relative of a friend of mine. I have been stalling him now for the last couple of days to get information and I don't think the stall tactics are gonna work much longer.
