    Default Can't Recover Customer Password

    I've run into many problems recently with trying to make my client's store secure when it's supposed to be. (http://www.heatherdidit.com)

    I'm trying to test some of the new things that I've changed and now all of the sudden I can't log in. I tried using the "Forgot Password" tool to make sure that I hadn't used a different password than my normal one, but then it says

    Error: The Email Address was not found in our records; please try again.

    However, I checked in the Customers listing in the Admin and it is the same email that is in the list.

    Why is it messed up?

    Without knowing what you have changed - how do we have a chance at determining what the problem might be??

    If you are using the overrides system switch to the classic and to see if it is a change of yours

    Well, what I've changed and am working on really gets into a whole 'nother issue. My client decided to use Cybersource and I'm starting to wish she'd gone with Authorize.net instead.

    Anyways, I'm trying to see if the changes I made to the configure.php file is getting the SSL to work on the page for entering credit card info.

    (Which is a problem I noticed while attempting to see what the error was in the checkout process, ugh)

    I never touched anything having to do with the login files. Although, apparently changing the SSL settings in the configure.php DID have to do with that.

    You might explain what it is that is happening as "I am having probelms" does not point us anywhere...

    If you have set the SSL to true and the certificate is not installed correctly you will not get a cart page

    Here's the process and what's happening:

    1. I Find a Product - Click "Add to Cart" - Takes me to "Your Shopping Cart Contents" page

    2. I click "Go to checkout" - Takes me to Login page (switches to secure mode)

    3. I use my email address and password that is already in the system and has worked before.

    4. I get this error: Error: Sorry, there is no match for that email address and/or password.

    5. To double check that I haven't mistyped (or forgotten) my password, I click the "Forgot Password" link.

    6. I type in my email address (that I have verified is correct and in the system through the Admin > Customers > Customers link. And I get this error:
    Error: The Email Address was not found in our records; please try again.

    This is what is happening.

    The ssl being used is indicated as belonging to your host and is not providing a secure connection (broken lock). Check with your host to clear this up and then it might square the other thing. I could not create a new account with success either
