There are many id's around and i take it you just edit the specific 1 and not the wrapper . The nested id setup can confuse what to edit.

If you just change the code in the template around tpl_header.php I am just moving things around with the same information, and not really seeing how that is supposed to add new text,img and style. I don't understand what you mean by that in the complicated php code?
