Download attribute help!

Hello all, I've managed to customize my cart and get pretty far along just from reading all the docs...now I'm stuck tho.

I'm trying to add the filename for download to a product in the attributes controller but it will not take. 'No Attributes Defined for Product ID#2'

From reading the forums, I have set the permissions of /download and /pub to 777 & have given the file a simple filename and placed it in the download folder.
Why wouldn't I be able to add this attribute?

What is the name of your Option Name?

What is the type of the Option Name?

What is the Option Value associated with the Option Name?

When you add the new Attribute to the Product and:

1 select the Option Name

2 select the Option Value

3 enter the name of the Zip file

4 enter the max days

5 enter the number of downloads

Click Insert ... do you see any other errors?
