The 2 mods you mention above have now been integrated into one, called Fast and Easy Checkout (FEC) by Numinix. The current version is available on the Numinix Site. It also requires another 3rd party mod to run it. They also have a Pay for it version.
COWOA is a simpler version and came out before FEC. COWOA has a couple of add ons with it, 1 that splits the customers box on the Admin screen to show you who used COWOA and another that will let those who used COWOA to be able to check their order status by using the email address they used when ordering and the order ID number.
I will upload my updated version of COWOA to the Zen Cart file section, so it should be available there soon.
