Whole category to Featured

I've been looking at this for ages but can't work out how to do it.
Is there a simple way to make a whole category into the featured products?

This is not built into Zen Cart, but you can go to the Products Price Manager and that will make it easier to set a Category of Products to Featured ...

I hope this feature will be added in the future because it would save a lot of time. Seems like there are many instances in Zen where manipulating entire categories at once would be really helpful.

Would this require a new Featured Category page?

Or, just update the featured table with all of the Products from a given Category and load them automatically to the featured table ...

And, perhaps give an option for a start/end date ...

And of course have something to say remove from featured all Products in Category XX ...

I see using this for featured artists centerbox on a site I'm working on......oh how about a new categories (artists) centerbox while we are at it

All these do is link to the categories I suppose I could just build it into a html table in main_page define page but I would really like a switch (read LAZY) in the admin to turn a category to featured to display in this box.....I could wait for start/end date............... .... ....still waiting.....are you done yet........
