COD assigned to certain customers

Hi all,

Hope your all well. I need to arrange a way for 200-300 customers to be able to log in and instead of paying through Paypal as the rest of my customers do have the option to choose the cash on delivery. I only want the these 200-300 customers to have this option and no one else. The reason for this is that these special customers will have 30 days to pay and will also be invoiced by another company.

Im guessing the COD payment option would be best suited for this. Ive also got to make sure that these customers dont pay the standard delivery charge that all my other customers have to pay.

If anyone has any good ideas of how to achieve this i would be more than greatful.

You would need a flag (new field) to mark these customers or a new table to track who is who ...

From this, it could be added to the Payment Modules an additional check for when each is allowed to display ...

The same can be done on the Shipping Module(s) ...

Takes a bit of coding, but it can be customized ...

NOTE: there is a Purchase Order Payment module running around that you might want to look into ...

If you look at the invoice contribution, it has a similar filtering mechanism that you could adopt.
