Okay, so I had another thought ..

I would re-upload the files that operate the browse & upload function for the images. Maybe there is a problem in the execute files when they uploaded or where they are sitting on the server.

Someone else will know which files those are. The function does work because I've been using it and I have 1.3.7 and only finished my Cart about 3 weeks ago.

    Any other ideas and I'll be back . . . . . .

That's a good idea. Does anyone know which specific files effect the uploading of images?

Contact your host and ask him to create a custom php.ini file for you to upload your photos to. A lot of people experienced the same problem after their host account upgraded. Look at the images folder and you will probaly see it is not or does not stay set to 777. It isn't a zencart problem, it is your hosting provider.

I have triple checked all of my image directories in my zencart folder and they were all set to 777.

I do have a php.ini file custom set up to allow file uploads, pathed to a correct temp directory and the file size is at an appropriate amount. I have even created my own php file upload script on a seperate page to upload to the zencart "images" folder and it works properly. I suppose if there was a way to type in the file name for attribute images like the products have ("Or, select an existing image file from server, filename:" textbox), I would settle for that.

There has to be something I'm missing, but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. ::sigh:: Thank you for the ideas, though. If you have any other thoughts please let me know.

Oh, I also forgot to mention... I an running PHP4. My host allows me to have the option of using PHP5, but doing so breaks some of my current PHP applications so I can't switch until I update them. Probably won't be for a while. However, I did switch over to PHP5 briefly to test out the zencart image upload and I got the same results.

Hi - Not sure if this will help - but I have been having the same problem, I have been up loading my images and not being able to view them just shows the red X. My problem was easye resolved once i sat and thought about it! lol.

I was naming the image files something like myimage £12.50.jpg once i took out the £12.50 and any spaces, the images are now uploading and showing fine. Just a thought for you - hope it helps!

    Cheers
