    Default Images Not Uploading

I am setting up my cart for the first time and I can't seem to be able to upload any images (such as product or attribute images) through Zen Cart. Any ideas?

My image directories are all set to 777 and I am using Zen Cart 1.3.7.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Well I can't say why the upload via ZC is not working. However, you could use FTP to upload your images to the proper directory.

I have been doing that for the products, but it doesn't seem as if that's an option for the product attributes... perhaps I'm just not seeing it.

Either way, it would be nice to do it from the Zen Cart admin page. ::sigh:: I've been working on this problem too long, it's probably staring me in the face, I just can't figure it out.

I think you need to ftp the attribute images

rush_woman, I am not getting any error messages. I enter in the information for the new product, "browse" for the image and then click preview. After that it takes me to the preview page where everything shows up correctly except the image display has the standard "no picture available".

kobra, is that even possible? How does it know which image to associate with which attribute? In "Products" it at least has an "Or, select an existing image file from server, filename:" text box. However, "Product Attributes" doesn't seem to have that option. All I see is a way for me to "Browse" for the image on my computer.

After you browse for the image, select it and be sure to click "open". Then select Preview. Heck, you probably are doing this but it's worth checking.

Okay, my last thought. After you browse and open, etc., is the image in the folder at your host site? I'm looking to determine where the glitch may be -- in the upload command itself or in connecting the image to the product.

Oh, I had one other thought and I'm not sure if this will matter or not. But, there is a Config option about how large a file can be uploaded. It is under Admin -> Config -> Maximum Values. Check to be sure it has sufficient size for your images.

Check the settings under Config -> Images, also. Just to be sure everything is okay.

These are my last thoughts -- good luck,

    1. No, the file never makes in to my server.

    2. Under Config > Maximum Values it says "2048000" which is the default.

    3. Everything seems to be well in Config > Images. I'm not sure what I should be looking for, but I haven't changed anything and it all seems fairly normal.

Thanks for your help, though... I'll keep poking at it and hope I find the magic fix. In the meantime I suppose I just won't use images for the attributes and will do the product images manually. Oh well...

If you or anyone else has any other thoughts please let me know. :) Thanks!
