One-Time Membership Charge

Installed 1 Time membership and it works fine on 1.3.8a.

The store owner has two top categories. Items in category 1 do not pay a membership fee. Items in category 2 require a membership fee.

Has anyone done this and if so, how?

Nevermind. The owner decided to lower the pric a bit on the non-mmbership categories and just charge a 1 time fee for the site.

I've installed this mod, but it does not seem to work all the time?

anyone having an issue with this? sometimes the membership fee will be automatically added when the user creates an account, but not all the time.

can anyone help with a fix? i do have fast and easy checkout installed which has a override 'login' page. could that be the issue here?

I did end up resolving my issue a few days after i first posted. Apparently I had left 'Guest Checkout' enabled so the membership fee wasn't going through.

Where exactly does this mod show up? I was under the impression it showed in the Account Registration page, but I have nothing showing there. Perhaps someone can actually explain in some detail where and how this mod works?

I have confirmed that nothing happens for me. I registered for a new account, no fees, no nothing. Not good. I was really hoping this worked so I don't have to learn a different platform for my client.

Sometime since I successfully installed this mod and from what can remember, subscription fee is added onto first purchase total...remember to set up category with product
for your subscription fee...

Well dang. I suppose this mod is not going to work for me. This client won't actually be selling any products..their clients will be purchasing a 'membership' to the site so that they can view and take some training courses, which are going to be set up as document-products.. The idea is that no one will have access to view these until they pay the membership fee.

I guess I need to find a different way to accomplish this.
