Center Two Column New Products layout IE

These are my settings. Left and Right columns both 150px as default.
New products maximum vlaue 2 to start with, Index listing New Products 2 columns.

On the main page under IE I am trying to get the New products to display properly in two columns but it keeps pushing the products into a long list. I've applied a border around each product. Anyone help??

You are using 2 stylesheets new and original for a start.....

and quickly looking there does not appear to be enough room to have two side by side

Should I be combining them into one stylesheet.css?

As for room, If I enable three columns it works fine and can squeeze them in no problems.

This is at the end of each column end of New products. Do you know where the file to remove this code is?? I've used Developer tools but it comes up with a number of files. I suspect this could be affecting it.
