depends upon some factors that what you want to do:
1. If you can devote sometime (nearly 4-5 hours every day) as some customers ask you pre sales questions and they don;t want to wait on there reply.
2. Depending upon budget you can choose some quite funny one like sitepal but i use livehlp( you can downlaod module from the download section) and it has helped me to solve customer queries on the spot
rest is ur choice that how you will satisfy customers queries in short time if u need to compete with other stores.

Previously we've used BoldChat and Liveperson.
I've discovered an interesting solution - Sales-n-Stats. As far as I see it is a new generation of such software. It's not only a live help feature but also realtime(sic!) visitor tracking and analysis tool. I have a little experience with it now, but I am very excited.
Does anyone used it previously?
