i m not sure if this is the right place to ask but here it goes. We have a a wholesale/ retail store and we manufacture our own beads and jewelry. What i want to do is find a module that will serve as a POS so i can use my website in the store aswell. This way i don't have to keep track of the inventory twice (one for the website and the other for the store). Is there any way to log myself in an administrator in the catalog section, so when a customer comes to the store, all i need to do is select that particular customer from the customer list and then start adding the items that the customer buys and check him out aswell?? this way the customer would be able to see his invoice when he logs in too??

Yes a couple - can create an instore customer and use the masterpassword module or just the instore customer password and/or a combination.

OK, i just installed the encrypted admin password and i am logging in the customer's login with my password. Seems to work fine, but is there a way i can create an account as an admin in the catalog section so i can log in as an administrator and select a customer name from a customer list bfore i check them out as we have multiple customers in the store at the same time?

From the frontend you or the customer can create an account with a unique email address.

Or if only for instore purchases you can create a "catch-all" account that is used for in store buying and actual customer info is not collected

An ideal module for our store would be an adminstrative account that would select customers from the customer's list for returning wholesale customers. "Catch-all" would work perfectly if a retail customer comes in and purchases something but lets suppose two registered wholesale buyer come in. We have different wholesale prices for each of them. Then it would be hard to use the catchall account and figure out their wholesale prices seperately. I would need a module which has an option of selecting a customer from the customerlist box so that all the wholesale pricing levels would come automatically when i select that particular wholesale buyer.

I wish i could make the module, but don't have enough php experience

As they are returning customers or as you state wholesale buyers - they should have an account and form knowing who they are you can use the "master pass word" that you installed

Thanks for the z-index value. It took the menu behind the lightbox but did not disable the menu when the lightbox was loaded. It just went behind the image so i opened the stylesheet for the HDDM and deleted the position:relative; from the div#dropMenu box. Its working perfect now.
