Internal Server Error, one part of ADMIN

What I have done.
Just starting store. Had domain on another host but didn't use any store.
Set up new account at new host. I have tested Zen Cart on this host with another domain name.

Domain name = http://grannysteacozies.com/
When I set up the account on new host, I told them I wanted to set up zen cart before changing DNS.
They gave me a way to access the new account to set it up (http://grannysteacozies.officewebsiteonline.com/)
Got it all going inserted products.........

Changed the DNS, called the hosting co. and had them do whatever they do to turn off the officewebsiteonline thing.........

Everything looked good

EXCEPT, the problem.

Try closing your browser sessions, clearing your cache and perhaps your cookies ...

Works for me ...

Also, you may need to restart your modem if it is not updated with the new DNS vs wait for that to happen ...

Yes, I did all of that and more.

I did compare the config files.
between the two and found no difference other than the pointing addresses.

Check that both files are using the same paths, database server, database name, username and password ...

Check in the database via phpMyAdmin on a search for the configuration_key
SESSION_WRITE_DIRECTORY

That this is set correctly ...

If need be, display all of the tables in your database and select the checkboxes on:
db_cache
whos_online
sessions

Then select from the dropdown:
Empty

Be sure this is EMPTY and NOT drop ...

everything looked good there except again the passwords were encrypted.

I am not to good in the db with phpMyAdmin but did find what you were asking.
configuration_key = SESSION_WRITE_DIRECTOR

GOT IT FIXED. First off,

I did learn from you, thank you.

I am not a professional web builder, I just do this to help friends and family.
I learn mostly from mistakes and I make a lot of them.

This is how I fixed my problem.
As stated above, I set up a parallel "test" page.
I downloaded the original db and uploaded it to the test site.
I downloaded the original "includes" folder and uploaded it to the test site, except the config file.
When I saw it worked good, I uninstalled the original site and did a new install and then reversed the uploads of the db and "includes" folder again excluding the config file

I did all my install and uninstall with fantasco, it is so easy installing with this program........
