I can't really offer too much help, 'cause I don't like wysiwyg editors and usually disable them right away, but... as far as I know, TinyMCE works with Safari. I can't offer any advice for implimenting it in zen-cart.

Any HTML editor that works on a mac should work with safari. Do you mean one that's integrated with safari?

Safari seems to have a lot of problems with applications such as these, I've noticed. I recommend that you download Mozilla Firefox. Since I started using Firefox, I don't have any of the display or functional problems I had with Safari.
Download Firefox, make sure HTML Editor is turned on in Admin Configurations and you'll be good to go.
