    Default Still Shiptostate-error after 28.02-patch

... That is, if I try checking out directly on the express-button, I can prosess the order, but when I return to my zencart, it states that the customer has one billing address N.N, road 9, 1870 Orje, Norway, and one shipping address; N.N., road 9, 1870 Orje, United States - meaning norwegian VAT is deducted. If I try to change the shipping address back to Norway in the cart, the order won't go through due to differing amount.

If I try using paypal after creating or logging in to an account in the cart, I get the shiptostate-error and return to step one.

Is something set up wrong in my cart? Anyone can help me have a look?

Do you have Debug Logging enabled in your PayPal Express Checkout settings?
Can you zip and post the log files from /includes/modules/payment/paypal/logs ?

Thanks for the log files, which appear to cover 3 test transactions.
They show one case of the shiptostate error.
However, I can't see a case where it's treating the country as US, so it's difficult to find a solution for that.

    1. Can you try to reproduce the problem again, and capture the new log files from that transaction?

    2. After you've recreated the problem and zipped the log files, please post them here.

    3. AFTER you've done that, THEN try applying the updated files in this patch ... does the problem persist ?
    4. Please post logs from your tests of this BETA patch.

    *EDIT*
PATCH upgraded from beta to official. Posted here:

1: Reproduce the error and 2: post new logs.
Have doen so, and reading the logs with my minor understanding, everything seems OK. However, when customer is returned to Cart, the billing address is in Norway and the shipping address is in the United States. On the Paypal-pages everything looks correct.

    Now for step 3...

... now I no longer get the shiptostate-error on normal checkout, but zen still believes that shipping is to US? No logs were produced.

Must be something in my settings in the cart... Have to take care of children now, but will try to set up a clean install later, maybe I have set up something wrong.

I'm guessing that you removed and reinstalled the module but didn't re-enable debug logging ?

Thanks for testing. There does appear to be a quirk somewhere. I can't tell just yet whether it's coming from PayPal or from Zen Cart...

The error apparantly came from me - tried loading in the clean 1.3.7 database and now it works, shipping and all. That finally made me remember I had fiddeled with the countries-table to make checkout more "norwegian" - I changed the countries_name from norway to norge (local name). Changed it back to norway and voila - it works!

Sorry to have caused trouble - and thank you again for taking time with me, DrByte!
