    Idea or Suggestion New Template, but layout screws up.

    I have installed the newest version of zen and installed a bought template, simply to get or new pc store up faster

    It works until I add sub categories, then the right column gets pulled to the left and pulls everything out of shape

    If I remove sub cats everything is ok

    Anyone help appreciated: WEBSITE

    You need to talk to the folks that you bought the template from.

    Curious, this is what their site sais in the template instructions:

    If you didn't find an answer to your question regarding configuration of your Zen Cart intallation or/and managing categories and products you need to refer to Zen Cart official website for assistance: http://www.zen-cart.com/

    But nvm I will have a play a little seems to be only the category page which miss shapes the layout a little so need to have a root about till I figure.

    You need to make the .rightcolumnwrapper widder. You'll find it in the css file of your template. Try width: 175px;

    Then you need to make the .centercolumncontainer width less, by as much as you increased your right column, plus 5px for good mesure.

    So if it is set to width: 390px; and your right column was increased by 15px, then set the cenetercolumncontainer to 370px.

    You can also make the site wider, but I'm hesitant to tell you that one since you'll have to recreate your header graphics.

    Only your problem is the template not the configuration of the program, if you would switch to the classic, your categories and subcategories would work fine.

    Thx for the help, however it is a new css file I have and there is nothing like what you mentioned in it I can see.

    I will have a closer look in the morning when my eyes can see better.

    The biggest problem with the current free templates are that they are a bit plain.

    Sure, you can customize them easy enough, by replacing the graphics, but people want more than that. They want their store to look more unuiqe. I know I've messed with my header so much that I don't even like it anymore. haha.

    Just make sure you keep your originals. I'm sure I kept that psd around here somewhere.

    Another thing about monster templates is that they do use allot of javascript to get their layout's to work.
