When clicking a category and inside is sub-categories

When I click on a category (which has sub-categories in it) it goes to a page that says the sub-categories (and images of the sub-categories if there are some) and in the category box it has the categories and the sub-categories drop down from the category they are from how would i make them just drop down instead of going to the page.

kinda hard to explain but go to http://www.john.8m6.net/shop/ and click on Apparel and you'll see. I dont want it to go to a page I just want the sub categories to appear.

Once you have a sub category that contains products, the products will "list" when that sub-category is clicked.

I don't see the point of taking a shopper to a sub-category that contains products you are desirous of selling - and not to display the products!

I want it to be like www.dnamailorder.com

Click on there little buttons and see how they drop down and the image to the right stays there. Thats what I want.

That a customised CSS and javascript they've built themselves. Note sure if that Mod is available in "Downloads" - but I have heard of a CSS "Flyout" mod that does a similar thing.

Write to those guys and ask them if you can use their categories menu Mod.

Just noticed... they use ASP (some CR@##Y stuff from MS) - they can't help you. You will need to write the mod yourself, or pay someone to do it.
