how to debug email problem, urgent, please help

Hi,

My zencart could not send out email, it was working fine and all of sudden, it stopped working.

I remember there is a debug you could switch and it will show you the problem, anyone remember what that is?

Or what else can I do to at least know what the problem is.

The email acount is working outside the zencart.

Please help.

Have you asked your host what has happened to the email or what they have changed?

Email debug support works somewhat in v1.3.7
Prior to that, it doesn't accurately display error messages encountered while sending email.

A number of improvements have been made since v1.3.0 -- including many important security fixes. So, naturally, we encourage you to upgrade.


I echo Kim's comment ... what happened on your server to cause the email to stop working? Did your host implement a security change? A special requirement needed before emails can be transmitted from the server itself (rather than from your PC)?

thank you for the lead, it seems they fixed the problems by changing the fire wall rule, but they are not sure.

So it is security related.
