Creating a new <div> to display text over logo

Hello, Is it possible to create a new div that would be positioned absolutly over the large logo image in order to have text and linked text in the header area? The site is www.expressservicesonline.com/cart
I want it to look like the header I created for www.expressservicesonline.com
Where would I add the div?

/includes/templates/your_template/common/tpl_header.php.
Add your div between <!--bof branding display--> and <!--eof branding display-->.
You will have to decide the exact right place to fit it within that area.

Thank you for the response. That seemed like a great solution. I put the divs after the tagline div and I put the css in /includes/templates/express_template/css.stylsheet.css but saddly there was no effect. I thought it might be a z-index issue, but I dont see z-index used any where and anyway, when I set the div to 500 nothing changed. Do you have any other suggestions?

Actually, I moved it to just below the logo div and it showed up! Thanks so much for that!
