    Default page cannot be displayed

    [QUOTE]Ok. I have searched the forum trying to figure out what's wrong with my site but no luck. I am hoping somebody here can help me with or direct to the right place.

    Here is what I did to my site:
    1) Install Zen Cart 1.3.7
    2) bought a certificate from Geotrust and install via Dreamhost Control Panel
    3) ask my host to redirect all visitors to https site
    4) after the redirect, I can't login the admin page. My host is good enough to help me change the admin/includes/configure.php

    define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'true');
    define('ENABLE_SSL_ADMIN', 'true');

    5) after that I can login my admin page; However now when I click any link on the admin page or the catalog page, IE gives me "the page cannot be displayed" and Firefox gives me "Server not found". (http://www.gloriabridals.com/index.p...=index&cPath=1) But if I manually changed the URL to (https://www.gloriabridals.com/index....=index&cPath=1) and the page will show up just fine.

    Now I doubt the redirect may cause the problem and will verify that with my host. But if I don't redirect, how can I get the visitor from "http:\\www.gloriabridals.com" to "https:\\www.gloriabridals.com"?

    Very much appreciate your help!

    thanks,

    Never mind. My host helped me out. It's actually a very simple error. Notice the lack of a slash after 'gloriabridals.com'? That's why it's failing.

    Why are you running your whole site secure?

    You can just set the two URLs properly and enable secure and where secure is needed on the checkout and account pages the secure URL will be used ...

    guess I am stupid :)

    Can you illustrate more what you said "You can just set the two URLs properly and enable secure and where secure is needed on the checkout and account pages the secure URL will be used ..." How do I actually do that? Is there any thread discussing the step by step process?

    thanks!

    The 2 configure.php files in:
    /includes/configure.php
    /admin/includes/configure.php

    Each have referrences to your server URLs in them ...

    Just set the HTTP ones to your secure URL and the HTTPS ones to your secure URL and set the Enable secure to true ...
