    Default Can't checkout

    Hi all

    I've just installed zencart on the domain www.saaki.biz. Everything seems to be working well apart from the login system. When ever i try to checkout, it doesn't allow me to go beyond this page.. http://www.saaki.biz/online/index.php?main_page=login .. I've tried using different configurations but nothing is fixing the problem. When ever i fill the form and press submit the same login page appears all the times. When i try putting in the username and pass of an existing user and hit login it still shows me the same page. When i use some wrong information it shows that the information you have submitted is not correct so as i feel it is getting information from the database but don't know whats going on here. I've seen a few threads on the same topic in your forum and tried to fix the shipping information but this is not resolving the issue. Can someone help me please. Thanks in advance...

    Please help or i'll have to upload all the files again on a really slow internet connection. There seems to be a configuration problem as the browser doesn't show any errors. Or could there be some key file missing?? Please reply ... Thanks..

    You code appears to be out of date ...

    Some files are updated and others are not ...

    What version of Zen Cart are you running?

    Was this a clean install or an upgrade? If an upgrade, from what version and how did you do the upgrade?

    Also check if you have in your Session Settings in the Zen Cart Admin the Recreate Sessions turn on ... if so, turn it off, does this work?

    If it does work, you still need to fix your site for these issues of out of date or missing files, but the cause of no login/create acount may be resolved to an extent ...

    Hi ajeh,

    Same issue for me with the checkout breadcrumb link at top. I have a customer who has let me know so want to rectify. Over the weekend I used Fantastico through Cpanel to update the Version. to 1.3.7.

    How would I go about pinpointing this problem? I tried the sessions off thing to no avail. Should I tun it back on again???

    EDIT: If I look at it from a different angle, you click button checkout, login, and arrive at Shipping Information. Then click checkout and it dosn't do anything. Of course at the bottom is the CONTINUE CHECKOUT button. Why does't a breadcrum called CONTINUE CHECKOUT appear at the top? That seems to be the trip up.

    Usually this is cause by files not uploading correctly or not being upgraded correctly ...

    Using something like Beyond Compare from scootersoftware.com can help in comparing files from a new version to an old version and from default files to template files to help find where code or defines etc. are missing ...

    I am not a fond believer in using Fantastico for upgrades ... test installs are fine but to run a real site you want to know that you, yourself, can load and maintain that site from your own FTP session not from something you cannot control ...

    Thank you very much. I turned the 'recreate session' off and it worked. Now i am allowed to go beyond the login page. Thanks for all your help.

    I didn't upgrade. it was a fresh install of the latest 3.7 available on your site. But I agree there could be some key files missing as my internet connection is very slow and i had to upload the files folder by folder. It is working fine now and soon it will be functional after some more testing.. Thanks very much again. I'll let you know if some other problem occurs.

    sorry Shafique that was aimed at me.

    Ajeh I had wondered about the fact I wasn't in complete control. I appreciate the advice. Do you suggest pressing the Check Upgrade button on the Admin panel.??

    Or do you suggest using the zip download and ftping all New and Improved files....

    All the Check upgrade button in the admin does is look what version you have and if there is a newer version ...

    You can also just peek in the Tools ... Server Info ...

    Are you running Zen Cart v1.3.7? If not ... guess what ... there is an upgrade out ...

    If you are running v1.3.7 and have these issues then it sounds like your files and/or database is not completely up to date ...

    Ajeh,

    I am running into this same problem. The site has run great for four months and is not working all of the sudden.

    When you go to login (either just by logging in, or by checking out) you are redirected to the secure homepage and do not login. If you enter incorrect information, you are given the following error: "Error: Sorry, there is no match for that email address and/or password." So the information is getting to and from the database.

    I am running v1.3.5 with PHP 4.4.1

    I have disabled $_SESSION information b/c of performance issues as per your suggestion on this post http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11234

    I have turned my Recreate Sessions to False. This does not change anything.

    When I turn my SSL site off -- define('ENABLE_SSL', 'false'); -- check out works, on the non-secure server. Dr. Byte has suggested this is a SSL configuration issue on this post: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...+login+problem Would this still hold true if the site _was_ running fine before throwing this error.

    You have suggested upgrading (even 1.3.5 to 1.3.7) as a solution. Do you think that is going to solve this problem?
