How to change download file name

Hi there, I have setup a downloadable product and this works great.

However what I want to do is have a generic product (one product) which people add to their cart and enter customised information in the fields I have setup for the product.

When I receive the order I will then create the customised file and make it available for download to that customer.

How can I set the name of the file on a per order basis as opposed to per product/product attribute?

I seem to be able to do it by updating the field orders_products_filename in table orders_products_download to the name of the file for that customer directly in the database.

Is there a better way of doing this or if not, any issues updating this field directly?

This is not built into Zen Cart ...

You would need to edit the database usually with phpMyAdmin to avoid mistakes:
orders_products_download

For each order and change the:
orders_products_filename

NOTE: this could be coded to allow you to make this change on the Order in the Admin but it would require some custom work to be done ...

I think I'll stick with updating the table manually for now, but see if i can customise it to add it to the orders page in the admin view.
