Default "Limit to Category" in Advanced Search defaults to subcateogry

Hi all, thanks for your help on previous posts.

My advanced search page's "Limit to Category" dropdown menu defaults to a subcategory instead of "All Categories." I've tried replacing all the relevant template and include files with clean (stock versions), but still no success.

Any suggestions? Thanks for your time!

AS you aleady know this is not default behaviour - I know that this is in the files somewhere???

Can you try switching to the classic template to see if this corrects it? If so then it is template related and this should limit it to some file that you have edited and I suspect this is the case as the layout is different than that of a stock 1.3.7 install.

The default template displays the category limit correctly. I must be something in one of the template files, but I have no idea where to look. It's not in the obvious places anyway: I already re-loaded tpl_advanced_search_default.php and advanced_search.php from a stock install of Zen Cart (where the category limit function is working correctly.)

Any suggestions? (And thanks for your help, kobra.)

As this corrects when using the classic template it must reside in a file that is in an override folder and not one of the files that would normally used(core) for the rest of the templates unless also overridden.

So begin with only the files that are in your folders that you have created for your template name.
