Need download help!

Hi everyone.

Ive been though the forum and cant seem to find the answer to my problem and there is so many diffrent problems with downloads so if i have missed it im sorry.

I set up the product for downloads, no problem, but when i try to download the item i bought then it comes up with this error:

Sorry. File not found. Please contact the webmaster to report this error.
c/f: www.web-crawlers.co.uk/download/1.rar

Now ive tried different folders and changed the permissions but still no joy

So any help on this would be greatly received.

No ideas for this one then?

Try using zip files.. zencart does not like rar files..
Name your zipfile something like file1.zip
i.e. no hyphens, caps, spaces...

When you access your zencart via
/admin/catalogue/downloads manager
do you see green dots/lights under
filename ??

No they are red, which means file name invalid doesnt it?

I dont get why......ive followed all instructions to the letter.

No, not necessarily..
Have you uploaded file.zip to
your download folder?
If yes, did you then associate this file, with it's product,
via attribute controller?

Yes i have, here is a pic of my admin where i set up the download dont know if it will help but its worth a shot:

Don't think you completed entering fully...
Scroll down from your SCREENSHOT..then view
http://www.mistily.com/zendownloads.jpg
At XX, add name of your file and download limits,
then at P, press to insert update..
then return to admin downloads manager,
you should see GREEN dot/light against file you just configured
