Has anyone come across Zen-Cart being used as a database for the dissemination of information without any charges or shipping or other costs?

Any such templates known? where?

Any Tips, Tricks, in doing so?

I believe the main zen cart site is just that.......ZC being used as a CMS

no I'm talking about www.zen-cart.com is a ZC install with ZC being used as a CMS as an example of using ZC to present info and not products. Heavy use of ez-pages and some use of Product-document (downloads section) instead of product-general

Okay, I see what you mean... Now I guess I need to rephrase my original query.... Is there a template readily available to all using zen cart in this manner? Is is possible to pull the important components of the zen-cart.com 'template' out to use?

I haven't seen any but its not so much a template issue as it is use of ezpages to present he content. The templating is the same as a regular store, there's just some stuff you don't have to worry about doing.

Mike's right. It's not really a template issue. It's more of a set-up/admin issue. I know there were a few sites out there that used ZC in that manner. Unfortunately, I don't remember the URLs. I've thought about doing something like that myself for a site I took over, but I never got around to it.
