COD or Money Order

When I select the Money Order payment method before confirming the order, then I click confirm, I get an SQL error on the screen and the order is not created.

My store is strictly used for selling to people that I have direct contact with. I don't yet accept anything but checks and money orders by mail or hand.

Is this not the right payment module to activate?

There's a CURL error regarding linkpoint on the management pages for payment methods. Would this be related?

I just want to be able to have someone place an order without paying for it.
