Removing Shipping

Hello,

A customer has asked me if its possible to remove the shipping information from the checkout.

For example, at the checkout you will only see payment and what you have ordered. nothing relating to shipping at all.

If it is possible can anyone suggest how to do it :)

Without shipping, how are you going to get the goods to the customer?

Virtual products (downloads) don't require shipping address, but if you sell any PHYSICAL products then the lorry driver needs to know where they must go - and what he'll charge to drive them there.

(Not sure if you can configure FREE SHIPPING in any way that bypasses the shipping step... have to ask one of the clever chaps)

simple answer,

you need to set ALL products to virtual this will bypass shipping screen

My customer wants to be able to use zencart to book transport as he owns coaches. However some of his customers have said that they don't understand why there is a shipping option. So he has asked me to remove it if possible

once again, make sure that ALL PRODUCTS are set to virtual

shipping dosnt show up

I have another question... sorry..

I need to also disable everything to do with discount coupons and gift cirtificates, from both the information sidebox and the checkout process. I have used the "Define Page Status" settings to remove everything that I dond't need but I am left with "Gift Certificate FAQ " in the information sidebix and "redeem discount" on the checkout pages, which I would like to remove. Is it possible and how would I go about it.

It just shows, Zen cart has so many great functions you can do just about anything with it :)
