Help Fixing Hosed Login...PLEAZZZZZZE....

Hey Everyone,

Everytime a customer tries to login, the site goes back to the front page!

This phenomena can be experienced at www.misight.com

And yes, I will remove you after you sign up.

I'm okay with the idea of replacing .php files I might have hosed to make this not work. I just need to get it fixed ASAP. I think it would be a simple fix, but I could find a solution anywhere in the forum.

Looks like you got this working now. I created an account and logged in just fine.

In the future, some things you could try are:
- change to the classic template and see if the problem(s) still occurs
- do a file comparison of those files that you have edited. (Something like winmerge, or similar should do the trick.)

Yep, I just got it going. I'm not exactly sure how it got fixed because langer was helping me (thank you, sir!) at the same time I was panicing and replacing a lot of the files in the admin.

I ended up replacing a lot of my admin files, and I think that did it, but I'm not sure. I know this might not be of any help, and I'm sorry.

Place usual warnings of "you might want to back it all up first" here :)

This is happening to me too - customer logs in, doesn't get any error message, just gets sent back to the main page and the log in doesn't happen at all.

I tried testing it using the classic template and the same thing happens. I've been creating a custom template but have been very careful not to overwrite any of the original files.

Was Login ever working? Did you install any add-on modules?

Try checking Admin->Configuration->Sessions

default settings are (ZC v1.3.7):
Session Directory..../ <your complete server path> /cache
Cookie Domain....True
Force Cookie Use....False
Check SSL Session ID....False
Check User Agent....False
Check IP Address....False
Prevent Spider Sessions....True
Recreate Session....True
IP to Host Conversion Status....true

Also check STORE_SESSIONS in your includes/configure.php.

Assuming core files are in good shape (likely since tested with classic), you can also check your web server logs. See if there are errors being reported. It's most likely that you changed an admin setting somewhere. Please report back with your progress.

Login has never worked but I didn't test it straight after install, so it might have and I just don't know about it.

Have installed the following modules via admin:
Payment, PayPal IPN and check/money order
Shipping: free shipping, store pickup and zone rates
Order Total: shipping, sub total, tax and total

Checked Admin->Configuration->Sessions: all default values intact

STORE_SESSIONS in includes/configure.php reads:

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'db'); // use 'db' for best support, or '' for file-based storage

Is this what it should be?

The Test Account you creaated (I assume it was you) is on the database. The welcome email bounced, probably as expected.

No obvious web server errors but checking with my hosting provider.

Ok. I re-installed from scratch.

All I've done is made the configure.php files in includes/ and admin/includes/ read only.

I added a new user and this successfully updated the database, and I received my welcome email, but I still can't login - it just goes back to the main page.

URL is: http://www.trueyou.com.au/zencart/ - you will see that it's back to the original classic green template as I wanted to test it before adding any of my own customisation.

Help please! Don't understand :-(

Are you sure you have your secure URL setup correctly?

I am getting warnings that it does not match your site ...

If you are unsure about your secure URL contact your hosting site to confirm the URL ...
