Zen not runing on MySQL older than 4.1?

Is this true? Tryiong to install zen localy. I have mySql 5.o running but i cant run trought the instllation process. It stops when i try to connect to the database:

Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL

Found a thread about this saying that you have to downgrade below 4.1. Is that true?

If so. Does anybody know where I can download that old verison of MySql? the only have above 4.1 on myphp.com.

Download and install XAMPP...

www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

But it MUST be this version:-

xampp-win32-1.4.16

That will install apache, php and mysql, ALL of the correct versions, so before you install, get rid of everything else.

Thanks! But here I got the solution everyone is looking for. Its so simple!

Use the software MySQLAdministrator
Under startup varibels go to Security tab
Check "Use old password"
Stop and start the MySQL service (done under service controll)
Create a new user and set a password
Use this new user to conect to the database
Done

The problem is that al 4.1 mySQL and above store passwords with an algorythm that php 5 cant understand. By doing these settings you use the old system to store password.
