I have seen various carts which in category view, the items in your store appear in columns instead of rows. Is there an easy (and I ask easy because I'm not fully fluent in PHP) to do this in Zen? I've searched high and low in the admin and don't see anything that refers to t his.
If anyone could help, I would be most obliged.

There is an add-on in the Downloads section - look for the columnar/grid layout.
