Authorize.net and storing credit cards

I have not yet used Authorize.net as a payment gateway with ZenCart. Once that is configured, does ZenCart store the credit card in the database? And how is it displayed for a particular order under 'payment type'? Does it display credit card status, ie processed & approved via authorize.net?

If you are using a gateway, ZC won't store the cc number.

I'm not familiar with Authorize.net, but I'm sure someone will be able to answer your other questions.
