5 (easy) questions

Hello..

Im trying to set my first shopping cart website and I need help....

1 - The search button on the top looks like its cut in the middle - I attach a jpg, I tried to change the width of the right column but it didnt help...

2- Every product i add is "out of stock". Can I disable this? (that it wont check the stock - default is that everything is always available)

3 - I wont to disable the "This product was added to our catalog on Thursday 24 May, 2007.". I changed to "0" in "Display Product Date Added" (under new listing) but its still there!

4 + 5 - On the index page, I would like to know how to disable the catagories that are displayed above "new products for may" and how to disable "new products of may" header (but still have the products there) - I attach a jpg of what i mean

Settings in the admin > config > stock for starters

These are all in the admin > config > layout settings you can open with or without categories - etc

What option do I need to set to "0" or false?

You should go and look at these as this is not my store and I am not positive what it is that you want.... make a setting and see what it does - don't like it reset back

The serach looks cut on IE6, on Mozzila it looks OK

Regarding the stock - I diabled EVERYTHING in the >config>stok
But the "0 units in stock" was still there.

I wend into the php tpl file and changed it to "0" instead of "1"

I still dont know what controls "new products of MAY" in the admin area

Please be patient and do not hack the files until all else gas been attempted...
Back out your edit....
Try going to admin > catalog > product types > edit layout > Show Quantity in Stock > set to "0"

I re-read your OP and did not find this...what do you want? not display it?

If so - admin > config > index listing > Show New Products on Main Page > set to "0"

Thank you, It works now.

About "new products of may" - i want to disable this sentance - all i want in the index page is just the 9 products with no title above them.

When i set admin > config > index listing > Show New Products on Main Page to "0" nothing happens, when i set
admin > config > index listing > Show New Products on Main Page Category with Sub Category to "0" the sentence disappeares but the products are gone as well...
